KLSE News: What’s on the Table – 31 Oct 2011
1. Petronas wants to “high grade” its international
operations by acquiring more valuable assets and
exiting from less profitable ventures. Petronas
Executive Vice President of Exploration and
Production Wee Yiaw Hin as saying the state-linked
firm was keen on expanding in Asia, West Africa
and South America. In recent months Petronas has
announced plans to develop marginal oil fields back
home and exit ventures in Pakistan and Ethiopia,

Market Report Begin’g – 31 Oct 2011
Dear Subscribers,
We held our traders club Saturday and only 22 PAX attended. The KLSE last week hit a high of 1488 up from 1310.
On the week of 11 July 2011 when the KLSE hit an intraday high of 1597 over 60 PAX attended our traders club. Some members were even standing at the back. Today there were plenty of empty seats.
Despite the 26 Sept 2011 climactic selling in the KLSE on ultra high volume and trend reversal the majority of players are still gripped by fear and uncertainty.
